You're Fired, My Friend

This has been a long time coming, but I had to drop my trainer "friend" out of my life.  This post isn't to talk bad about her, or anything like that.  Training is a personality-driven business.  When your personalities don't click anymore, working out with someone can be demotivating.  What I think happened to us is that we didn't know each other when we started.  Throughout the 16 weeks of training we did together for her show, we learned more about each other.  There came a point where I started to realize that she was not the same person that I had met when we started.

She has tried to bring me down numerous times throughout my training (which I'm only in Week 3!) and I just can't have that in my life.  I decided to confront her about the negativity and lack of support yesterday.  I don't like confrontation, but I did it in the best way possible.  I was calm whereas she was defensive and childish.  There was even a portion of the conversation where she said "my friends told me I should have beat your fucking ass."  I laughed so hard.  I don't know how I missed the part of her personality where she identifies herself as some Jersey Shore piece of trash, but I also don't claim to have great vision.  :)

I FEEL SO RELIEVED!

I wished her well, handed over my key to the gym, and went on my way with a smile.  I have a plan in place, and am still moving forward with competing.

SO!  On to my food from yesterday!  Here are my totals:

At 6 AM:    Cinnamon Roll Oatmeal (100 calorie pack); 1 serving of Stevie's Protein Rice Krispie Treats.

At 9 AM:    3.5 oz of Jennie-O Lean Ground Turkey; 5.3 oz of Vanilla Greek yogurt.

At 12 PM:  1 Boca Cheeseburger Patty; 1 oz of Red Apple Smoked Gruyere Cheese; 1/2 of a sliced cucumber, raw w/ skin.

At 3 PM:    5.3 oz of Vanilla Greek yogurt; 57g of Post Great Grains Protein Cinnamon Hazelnut Cereal (plain with no milk....THIS CEREAL IS GOD!).

At 6 PM:   1 Jennie-O Seasoned Turkey Burger Patty (Wow!  These were REALLY, REALLY GOOD!); 85g of Edamame w/ onion powder sprinkled on top (Amazing too!); 12oz of milk.

At 9 PM:   1 serving of Stevie's Protein Rice Krispie Treats.

So, I'll be working out at the YMCA from now on, which is fine with me.  The equipment is much newer.  I'll miss knowing where I need to go and what I need to do with each machine, but within a week, I'll know have that all down.

On another note, Celebrity Apprentice finale is this weekend!  I can't wait!  I love that show!
