TRAIN INSANE...OR REMAIN THE SAME.

Ta-fucking-da!

I've created this blog as a way to track my 15 week journey through training for a natural Figure competition.

To get us all on the same page, I thought it would be helpful to define what Figure competitions are and what they comprise of.  The most important factor that encompasses Figure competitions is muscular symmetry and tone.

“The judges will look for good to excellent muscle tone, clean tight lines, and low but reasonable levels of body fat. Judges are not looking for muscle’s mass, cuts, or vascularity. Judges will look at overall shape and symmetry.”

I borrowed the above description from the informational packet for Sara’s upcoming show.  I thought it does a good job of portraying what your body should look like when it’s show time.

Let’s start with the Who, What, When, Where, and Why:

Who:     Me, of course!

What:    Mr. & Ms. Steel Valley Classic National Bodybuilding & Figure/Fitness Championships…Now, THAT is intimidating!

When:   Saturday, August 10th, 2013…Holy Shit, am I really doing this?! Haha

Where:  Warren, Ohio

Why:      I consider myself a fitness enthusiast with a bucket list problem.  I don’t do New Year Resolutions…Those just set you up to fail.  Instead, I have short term and long term bucket lists.  The short term lists consist of things that I want/can do within a year.  I try to cross at least 5-6 items off that list each year.  This being one of them.

More to come…Editing later…Testing this baby out!
